A recent study found:
"People taking
antidepressant drugs for a bout of depression do particularly well,
at least over a 6-month period, if they take part in a program that
includes telephone psychotherapy, a new study finds (Science News,
Aug. 2004, p. 132-3).
If
you can't come to Dr. Sehl's New York office, here are some reasons
why Telephone Counseling might be appropriate:
- It
is more comfortable and less threatening for some people to begin
counseling over the phone.
- Locating a counselor can be difficult. Telephone
counseling allows you to talk to someone anywhere - from
New York to California, and overseas.
- Lately it has become increasingly more difficult
to fit everything into a day's schedule. Telephone counseling
can be conducted from one's home, and, in some instances, from
one's office, making it more convenient, and sometimes safer,
depending upon your location. Discuss your situation with Dr.
Sehl to see how telephone counseling may benefit you. Send an
e-mail to- info@marksehl.com
